51WestFilms is a Haarlem-based audiovisual company that needed a website to present their work and make it easy for clients to reach them.
The challenge: balance strong visuals with a clear structure that feels impressive, but not overwhelming.
My role
Solo project from concept to delivery.
- Defined structure and user flow around visual content
- Designed the interface with minimal aesthetics and clear hierarchy
- Developed in WordPress, later refined in VS Code
- Iterated on layout and responsiveness across devices
- Optimized for key actions: exploring work and getting in touch
Process
I started by defining the core goal: put the work front and center, make contact effortless. From there I looked at references, set a minimal structure, and moved into layout design.
After locking the direction, I built and iterated starting with refining responsiveness, spacing, and interactions until the experience felt right on every device.
Result
A clean, professional site that gives 51WestFilms a solid online presence where their work is front and center.
If I revisited it, I'd push the motion and interaction further to better match the energy of their video work.
